- Brief description of the procurement: Commissioning of a combined (quantitative and qualitative) study with the aim of mapping the nutrition-related values, attitudes, beliefs and behavior patterns of the Estonian adult population (aged 18-64). Results of the survey provide input: • To develop a nutrition counseling service model that integrates primary health care; • To design evidence-based policy measures and intervention activities; • Information and communication activities aimed at target groups for planning. The quantitative and qualitative parts complement each other. The purpose of a qualitative study is to explain and open up the reasons behind the results obtained during a quantitative survey. This requires that the researcher has a detailed and in-depth overview understanding of first-stage data and patterns. The third phase of the study (integrated analysis) requires synthesizing the results of both phases based on a common logic to generate evidence-based input for planning intervention activities.
