- Brief description of the procurement: In the project, a controlled clinical application study will be conducted to evaluate the health effects of the extracts of two functional mushrooms grown in Estonia - Lõvilaka and Chaga - in humans compared to a placebo. The study involves 500-800 people who consume standardized capsules for 6-8 weeks. The effects are evaluated in five areas: cognitive ability, stress and mood, sleep, energy level and immune resistance. The service provider carries out the entire research process, analyzes the data and compiles statistical final report. The results are registered in a public database and formalized in the form of a scientific article, which is published in an international scientific journal or open source. The goal of the project is to create new scientific knowledge that supports Estonia the development of bioeconomy and food security.
